Property tax reductions are the cornerstone of our practice. On or about January 15th each year, the City of New York publishes the Tentative Assessment Roll listing assessment information for every property in the City for the current tax year. We represent taxpayers in protesting the annual tax assessments.
We work with our clients to construct an accurate valuation of each property while tailoring the analysis to emphasize the unique circumstances underlying the property’s revenue stream. The Firm presents this analysis in an administrative hearing before the NYC Tax Commission. Following the administrative hearing, the Tax Commission may make an offer to reduce the assessed valuation for the current, and prior tax year, if pending. If they make no offer – or an unacceptable offer, with client’s consent, we would move forward with petitioning the court for relief.
